Please stand by....please, a little blogging help....and chocolate is always welcome!

Hey, I'm making a few changes to my blog! I changed the name in the title in case I every actually do open the Etsy story they will co-ordinate- Good idea, Chris! I finally figured out how to get rid of that awkward space between my posts and the header. And I gave my blog a facebook page. But, I need advice- I really don't know what it means to have a networked blog, how to use it-etc. All I know is that I have been blogging for a couple years and the first year I was very secretive about it. I really didn't want people to know it was me ranting and raving and that I actually thought I might be an artist. But I'm out of the closet now! So I want to reach more people, have more followers , open the store, spread peace and good will, lose twenty pounds and get rich so I can hide out in my art studio rather than face that cold hard world every day! Oh, and by the way- can anyone tell me how to get my spellcheck icon back on my new post screen? I stay up to the wee hours of the night doing art, over book myself on a regular basis, have a little stress in my life and apparantly have lost all spelling skills in doing so! So if you can help me- explain what a networked blog means to me in my world, tell me how to get spellcheck back and if you like my studio name and how to finally start the etsy store???

    I sort of know about networked blogs. Basically, when I publish a blog post it updates to my Facebook page too - posting a link back to my blog. I saw it on someone else's site and clicked on it then just followed instructions! If you go on my blog you can follow me and when you do, I think you can set up an account (but don't quote me on that!). Sorry this is a bit vague but I am sure it was fairly easy!

    Your blog looks fabulous--so fun and vibrant! Sorry I am technologically challenged. I'm figuring out all this networked blogs/linking here and there chaos myself. Current challenge--attaching a new domain name to my blog to eliminate "blogspot" from my URL. Its enough to make anyone forget how to spell! Hope to see you on etsy, too!!     Hi, WrightStuff is correct. Networked blogs is just another way of people seeing and finding your blog. When you reach a certain amount of people then they show you on their directory. You choose your categories ie. art, crafts, photography......etc.
    As far as your spell check problem it sounds like a blogger glitch. Go to the help on blogger. Email them or go to a forum and notify blogger of the problem. Good Luck!

A Little Summer Fun Followed By A Little Summer Anxiety!

  Yep.  Got a  little goin' on... First off-  Anything to keep these two busy!    Very first overnight camp- thought I'd be really anxious.  Turns out- not so much! Paper Mache` vs. Creative Paper Clay vs. Paper Clay Recipe!

For those of you who work in figurative sculpture, or are art doll makers, or just like to putz around in an artsy way this post is for you. If you don't fit into the categories above this post may just be a yawn. Sorry. The following is a comparison of my experiences using three different products. Paper mache`, Creative Paper Clay, and paper clay recipe. This picture is a good example of how I like to mix up my mediums. The round flower is Creative Paper Clay. The 3-petal blossom is made from the paper clay recipe found on line. Both of these flowers adhered quite well with out any glue to the paper mache` background. In my Cloth and Clay group I have a discussion going about a paper clay recipe vs. purchasing the manufactured paper clay. I wanted an alternative to the little bricks and my dependency on whether or not my local hobby stores would have it in stock or not. And, truthfully, at the time with a rather large sculpture in mind I knew I would eat through those

Craft Tutorial Alert!

Well, its the end of the school year.  Time to thank the two ladies that influenced my children in a great direction!  I didn't want to donate to the gift card.  Why?  Because I'm not a joiner?  Because I want to stand out rather than share the spotlight?  Because I want a personalized gift that they can keep and always remember?  Because I want to impress upon them that I can't participate as a classroom volunteer because (loud children scare me) I've been so busy working and being creative?  Because I want to do both gifts for very little money but not look cheap?  Bingo. I saw an ornament made from a puzzle piece in a magazine and it stuck with me.  'I should do something like that' I always think.  Then the idea came to me and unfortunately would not leave me- like ringworm.  I would make a mobile. I found the very largest puzzle I could find at my local store.  Turns out the fewer the pieces- the larger they tend to be.  This 4.00 puzzle had
